Laundromat Hangs.

Robe - Goodwill, UNIF tank - Carmen via Urban Outfitters, Jeans - Urban Outfitters, Boots - Nine West via Goodwill

Behold: My janky self after a long day of orientation at IADT Sacramento aka my new school, a trip to Ikea, Goodwill, Trader Joe's, and the laundromat.

Janky. Jankified. Jankalicious. Call Me Janky.

Let me just say, I am SO excited to start school. My only class so far is a general education class, but after ten weeks, I start learning the fun stuff; hands-on fashion merchandising and designing. You know what's even cooler? I get to design my own fabric. Can you say pizza print all day everyday? I'm seriously going to design an entire line based around pizza and turn it in for a grade.

Anyway, this outfit makes me feel pretty rad. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I looked at these photos. This robe? Best thing ever. Perfect condition, with the most beautiful color combination. Mmm, mmm. Yes please.
And these boots! Pretty sure my friend/ex-coworker Ashley of Five Hundred Daze owns these- er, owned? They might be for sale on her Etsy site. Which you should check out HERE.

Also, check out my other friend/ex-coworker's Etsy, Bratty Girl Vintage. Ya'll remember Alex from other posts I did, right? Gutter Kids partner? Yep.

So proud of my friends :')

(UPDATE: It looks as though Ashley's Etsy is empty right now, but stay tuned because I know she posts some good stuff in there. In the mean time, just read her blog!)

I'm watching the Lizzie McGuire movie on VHS, eating pizza with my cat, and looking up inspiring photos. My life rules.

I've also been considering cutting my hair into a 1990s Winona Ryder/present Kimbra bob. But I'm also really afraid to do that because my hair is getting pretty long. We'll see!

Birds Of A Feather.

I can follow through with things sometimes. Like blogging. Ya, I can do that.

Today Carmen and I walked to the bus stop and rode it to the Arden Fair Mall. We also bought clothes. We also felt really guilty about buying clothes, even though we could afford it, and still be able to pay our bills next month. But we always feel bad buying clothes, unless they're thrift store clothes, or we're not spending our own money.

Being an "adult" is weird. You really really care about money. And you struggle. And it's just a weird thing. I don't wanna grow up, and that's why I'm wearing a neon green polka dot crop top.

Holy moly do I have abs?!
This is my Kelly Shoe Strings photo.

She is one of my best friends. We share clothes because we both envy each other's outfit coordination, and now that we live together we can copy it. She listens to the best music and always has perfect hair. She works at Urban Outfitters, and we share a cat named Girlfriend. Carmen came up with that name. We also like to do Bjork and Charles Barkley impersonations, and watch Breaking Bad. I'm trying to get her to make a blog to show off her pretty clothes, but until then, she'll just have to exist here, on my blog.

I'm enjoying my life, if you can't tell.

Itch to Thrift.

I've been a bad blogger lately. I moved, and I had no internet for about a week or so, and then I hated the internet, and now we're kinda friends again. But I haven't had any time to take new photos, and it sucks. I just finished day seven of a nine day work week, and this weekend is my house warming/Carmen's birthday party, so there's a lot going on. I promise to be a good blogger though, and make Carmen photograph my outfits on a regular basis.

The best part about living with one of your best friends is quadrupling your closet. I don't think I've worn an entire outfit consisting of my own clothes since Carmen moved in. I'm going to try my best to get her to make a blog, because she has some of the best clothes I've ever laid my eyes on. And she has more confidence than anyone I personally know, so her outfits are always incredible. (Hi Carmen)

ANYWAY, point of this blog is that I need to go thrifting. Really bad. I keep staring at vintage clothes online and my heart sinks every time I realize I don't own them.

Here are some of my favorites:

And of course, working at Goodwill and seeing all sorts of wonderful things pass right by me hurts my heart. Like today, a pastel yellow pair of vintage high-waisted Guess shorts.. gone.

Can't wait to get paid and get my hands on some great things. & like I said, I promise I'll update soon!

For now, check out how beautiful my dining room is:
